The
International Curriculum™
has been created by Good Shepherd Ministries International. It is
a revolutionary new tool for pastors, missions organizations, missionaries
and national leaders in foreign countries. We like to view the project
as the training equivalent of the Jesus movie. The IC consists of
professionally-recorded training sessions taught by mature Christian
leaders in many of the world’s major languages. Since all of the material
was developed in a bilingual format, new languages can be added easily.
The IC covers a wide variety of subjects and utilizes a broad selection
of teachers from diverse backgrounds. Those teachers include: Jack
Hayford, T.L. Osborn, Reinhard Bonnke, Joyce Meyer, Larry Stockstill,
Ed Cole, Brian Houston, A.R. Bernard & Dick Eastman, to name a
few.
One of
the greatest needs on the harvest fields of our world is the raising
up of godly, effective leaders. The major objective of the Curriculum
is to strengthen training institutes and to turn local churches all
over the world into ministry training centers. The Curriculum also
empowers national pastors to raise up leadership for ministry work
and church-planting in their local contexts. Jesus called us to make
disciples and not simply to win souls. The Jesus movie and other evangelistic
efforts in the nations have brought millions to salvation. Let’s follow
up those new believers with high-quality teaching and training in
the birth-languages of people.
International
School of Ministry™ (ISOM)
In order
to make the implementation of The International Curriculum™ as simple
as possible, we have divided the program into a systematic, five-trimester
structure. There are 159 sessions within this framework, and each
is about an hour in length. Every course in The IC has special notes
that complement the video training. These notes contain a written
overview of the video content, group discussion ideas, homework assignments
and exams. There are both leader's guides for instructors, as well
as student workbooks with blank spaces for pupils to fill in key words
and phrases. The program, used in this format is called the International
School of Ministry.™ Other possible ways to use the IC also are available.
We will
provide an ISOM Certificate after three trimesters and an ISOM Diploma
after five. An Associate's Degree, as well as accreditation from Vision
International University and other institutions, also is available.
Literally thousands of schools can be started all over the world using
the Curriculum. Many churches in the United States also are reporting
a high degree of success in using the ISOM as a church-based training
school. We invite pastors, missionaries and national church leaders
to partner with us to start church-based training centers in many
countries and languages. Using the International School of Ministry™
materials, we can mobilize the Church globally for multiplication
growth.
